If you've played Skyrimyou're probably familiar with Legendary Skills. Once you reach level on any of your skills, you can choose to make them Legendary. This brings that specific skill back to level 15 and gives skyrim legendary skill all the perk points used on that wellheater tree.
Players have 18 skills to level up in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim , and each skill can be raised to level normally, though it can be increased due to legendary skills. Legendary skills allow players to continue leveling a skill even if they have maxed it out. For example, if a player makes potions a lot, they will naturally get a lot of skill points in Alchemy. Eventually, they will get to level in the Alchemy skill tree, which is the maximum level that players can get in a particular skill. Normally, this would mean that at a certain point, players would have to radically alter their playstyles to continue leveling, and this could be a severe disadvantage. Or a beefy warrior clad in heavy armor finds themselves needing to sneak and pickpockets.

When you make a skill Legendary, the skill goes down to 15 and all perks are reset on that skill's tree so you lose the perks, but any perk points you spent in that tree are refunded to you so you can spend them again.

Can somebody please explain clearly to me how Legendary is worth doing. The stuff I've read about it says it removes a Level Cap, but just how does it do that? It can't be the individual Skill level, coz that get's knocked back to 15, and when I tried it on Smithing, I had obviously lost the previous level. So they must mean my master level, but just how does it help that? The old level cap in skyrim was 81, but with update 1.

Its alos used for leveing up pas the leve cap in vanila, because if all your skills are ad you would be stuck on that level.
