Sitting right next to the Travelodge on Clasper Way, The Skiff Inn has a typical local pub feel, but I had heard great things about their food, and specifically their Sunday lunches from the reviews I had read online, so I couldn't wait to try it. As myself and my family entered Skiff Inn, we were met with a bustling atmosphere, with the restaurant filled with patrons at around 2. Despite the busyness, we were seated within five minutes in the main section of the restaurant. The interior of The Skiff Inn has a welcoming feel to it which was exactly what I was looking for. The atmosphere can make such a difference to the overall experience and The Skiff Inn was brilliant in this department. It was then time to have a look at the menu and decide what we wanted, with myself and my family opting for varying meals in order to try out a wide scope of food. My sister and I opted for the roast chicken meal, while my mam got the roast beef and my dad went for the trio of meats meal, which includes beef, belly pork and chicken. All of the meats are served alongside mashed potato, roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, stuffing and vegetables of the day, topped off with a meat gravy. There is a lot of choice which is brilliant to see, the only drawback is that I would like more customization when it comes to the vegetables. The food took around minutes to arrive, which is a more than acceptable waiting time, especially when the food is of a high quality and large quantity of what we were served.

We have been to this pub a couple of times now when stopping at the travelogue nearby and found it reasonably priced for great food.
