I made this Silk Cloth Farming guide to help out players who want to farm the cloths instead of buying them from the Auction House. I decided to search for places with high density of mobs which I can kill and drop [Silk Cloth]. I traveled around Azeroth, and after a while I made a list of places. Westreach Summin at Thousand Needles is almost the same as New Thalanar, but the mobs are a bit more spread apart. Grimtotem Pillagers are battling with Summit Defenders and they instantly respawn after the number of mobs in the are are getting low, which means you will never run out of them. Note for Alliance players: This place is close to a horde town, so lower level alliance players should not go there, but for higher level alliance players it doesn't really matter as long as you have some kind of AoE ability, you will oneshot mobs anyway. You should only farm here if you oneshot the guards because the guards drop no loot. The Dwarfs and Troggs inside the cave that leads to Uldaman drop a lot of Silk, so this is a great alternative if you can't farm at the previous places mentioned in the guide. Don't forget to clear the mobs outside the cave too! There are a lot of mobs up on the cliff to the right from the cave entrance. The respawn rate is not that fast, so if you have a class with high mobility, you might clear the mobs too fast and you have to wait for respawns. Blackhoof Village in Dustwallow Marsh is also a decent place. The mobs drop Silk Cloth and they respawn pretty quickly, you can keep running from one end of the camp to the other and farm Silk Cloth.
Scarlet Monastery is the superior instance of the two. If you need silk i would say this is the place to go the respawn rate on mobs is insanely fast seconds usually, sometimes faster.

This zone has plenty of mobs between levels 23 and 29 that are farmable during the first level-banded endgame of the Season of Discovery. We recommend the Galak Scouts and Galak Wranglers in the northern section of the zone around coordinates [49, 41] as they drop the most Silk Cloth consistently.

Outside Uldaman the respawn rate is awful, I was unable to successfully farm outside the instance for more than a minute. Which means that all or most of the data on database sites like this one is of negligible use. Maybe I like this way because I'm anti social. Comment by maryalice I like Uldaman for farming silk. Comment by Tried out the new thelanaar place today at feralas. Michael Kelly. Good Luck! You will hit the instance limit after about 10 runs right-click your portrait outside the instance and pick "Reset all instances" to get a fresh instance , and you'll get about 20 stacks for 40 minutes of easy work. There is a handy picture here I did not create it, just linking. Comment by Eleora Razorfen Kraul is surprisingly good for this. Eastern Plaguelands is for the most part too high. In 20 minutes of farming, I had: 19 Silk Cloth 1 Wool 1 blue 2 greens Keep in mind, this is less than half of what I got in Scarlet Monastery in slightly more time. My Account. I gave Blackhoof Village a try, which resulted in approximately one stack after 1 run through the village.

Comment by As a Lvl 85 Mage skilling Tailoring I went to SM Cathedral to give it a try but was utterly disappointed because of several reasons: The droprate and quantity was crappy - At least to my standards. My server is unfortunately unbalanced and silk is around 4g per stack, so I stuck with Cathedral, as it was only 2 pulls for my Holy Priest. Run to the archway door and turn the corner. Great place for mid-level Alliance characters who may be too low level to solo some of the other places. The reason being if you flipped these, you get marked for PvP. Also, there were a few recipes and gems which I didn't sell. In 30 minutes I got 40 silk cloth and 50 mageweave cloth. Scarlet Monastery Cathedral for Silk Cloth Stratholme for Mageweave Cloth Destroy greys and other stuff you don't want when you run inside and out the instances. Just to note, at this point my mage was in mostly iLvl gear from heroics. Comment by Allakhazam Where to get a lot of silk clothes on low lvl - around 25?
No, I cannot tell to you.
I apologise, but, in my opinion, you are mistaken. Write to me in PM, we will communicate.
