One character that stands out as one of the most underrated by many Star Wars fans is none other than the mighty Savage Opress. He may have only appeared for a short time, but his impact was massive. Here's what Star Wars fans should know about this character. Born on the planet Dathomir, Savage Opress was a member of the powerful Nightbrother clan. He was an important figure in his homeworld, but that would all change when the powerful Sith assassin Asajj Ventress returned to the planet.

Savage Opress was once a common Nightbrother whose fighting prowess impressed Asajj Ventress. Transformed into a monstrous warrior by Mother Talzin, Opress became Count Dooku's new assassin and secret Sith apprentice. His loyalty, however, remained to Talzin. The Nightsisters leader gave Savage a new quest: to find his brother, Darth Maul, who had somehow survived his apparent death and was living in exile in the Outer Rim. Fueled by vengeance and rage, the newly reunited brothers Savage Opress and Darth Maul spread terror and violence across the galaxy. Savage agreed to serve Ventress on the condition that she spare the life of his brother, Feral. Talzin brought Savage to Count Dooku, who trained him ruthlessly in the ways of the Force and sent him on missions to Devaron and Toydaria. Ventress invoked the spells binding Savage to the Nightsisters , and joined forces with him in an effort to kill Dooku. While Opress was subjected to brutal Sith training under Dooku's charge, Ventress prepared to pit the monstrous Nightbrother against Dooku. Yet when Ventress's plans for revenge culminated at Toydaria , she and her ex-Master found that neither of them could contain Opress's impulsive nature and rage.
