Finding all of them is important for the sake of completion, yes, but all of these collectibles also grant you various necessary upgrade materials, new mutations, and more. Nutrient Caches in Maneater in Sapphire Bay, like in every other region in this game, contain goodies for your shark. The Sapphire Souvenirs Licence Plates in Maneater are exactly what they sound like — giant licence plates floating in the air, reminding me very much of collectibles from old Tony Hawk games. On the map, they, of course, also appear as licence plates. Out of all the stuff you can find in Maneater, these are by far the easiest to spot. That said, some of them that are on land can be very difficult to reach until you master the art of jumping and upgrade it sufficiently. A bunch of them are references to various things, with varying levels of cleverness. On the map, they appear as upside-down tears or those red markers on Google Maps, if you will. Located at the very bottom of the region, very near to where the Grotto is, look along the riverbed leading back towards the gate to Crawfish Bay to find an underwater cemetery.

Look for a truck dumping bodies into the water, and search the bottom of the pool to find the mafia's handiwork on display. Located near the center of the Bayou, this landmark is located in a somewhat isolated pool of water beyond some boardwalk to the east of an Alligator Hunt. Does it Float? Either crawl up along the land or look for a tunnel in the cove on the right side to reach a small pool of water where you can find a pig's head on a pike. Located along the bottom portion of the map just south of the lighthouse, dive down until you find the remains of a large circular structure with a pyramid on top with eyes. Search below one of the overpass pylons in the water to find a graveyard of small boats. Swim Away. Gone Fishing. Search along the water's edge where the freeway overpass exits the lake to find a dumping site of old tires, and a sculpture of a man made out of tires. You can find this landmark near the bottom of the map on a small island to the south of the main lighthouse.
