Salumi has established itself as a go-to eatery for many Plymouth residents thanks to its flexible dining approach and uber-friendly service. Inside, bright turquoise-painted tables, chairs and fittings contrast with oak beams and exposed brick walls to create a rustic vibe. Chefs Dave Jenkins and Jake Hardington have created menus to suit any whim, be it full-blown feasting or nibbles over drinks. The food is modern British but with Asian influences aplenty. Take the Sunday lunch menu, which features traditional roasts alongside a smattering of surprises such as barbecue king-oyster-mushroom bao buns, and yaki udon with seaweed, shimeji mushroom and bok choy. Very very disappointing. We booked Salumi for our 1 year anniversary and the overall experience was not enjoyable. We were not made to feel welcome in the They are currently working on an extremely limited menu, despite the website advertising a fairly extensive menu. As such, it was difficult to choose due to so few options. When the food did arrive, the portions were very Visited with my husband, for dinner before a gig at the pavilions.

A friend recommended Salumi bar and eatery as fabulous food, I thought I would give it a try. So a lunch seemed the ideal opportunity. I was welcomed by Tom and handed a lovely menu, spoilt for choice. I chose Cornish sausage with flavoured mash potatoes and creamed cabbage with smoked bacon. It sounds mundane but the tastes were amazing. I shall be going again soon. If your going at the weekend Tom tells me you are best to book a table. See you there! We were seen to quickly, had our drinks arrive shortly after ordering as you would expect, all members of staff were polite and friendly, even though they had been working non stop with no break for the last 14 hours.
