This small bird is a true bantam meaning there is not larger counterpart , most probably originating from the Netherlands some four to five hundred years ago. These feather footed birds walk upright with wings pointing downwards, tight feathers with a sharp tidy appearance. Generally very placid and friendly, easy to handle for children, making great pets.
