The Fate series has an absurd amount of characters ranging from historical icons to legendary figures of folklore to saber fate fictional characters that have persisted in the zeitgeist, saber fate. However, it seems the creators believe the simplest solution is the correct one, saber fate, and Saber AKA Artoria Pendragon has so many lookalikes that each new character bearing a resemblance to her is referred to as a Saberface. But this trend has persisted in Fate media since long before this manga, so where did it start, what qualifies as a Saberface, and how did it become the meme it is remembered as today?

Saber is a heroic warrior who is summoned by a teenager named Shirou Emiya to participate in a war between masters and servants who are fighting to accomplish their dreams using the mythical Holy Grail. Saber is an agile and mighty warrior who is loyal, independent, and reserved; she appears emotionally cold but is actually suppressing her emotions to focus on her goals. Saber also appears in the novel's printed and animated adaptations, reprising her role in the game. Saber was created by Kinoko Nasu after the series' leading illustrator suggested having an armored woman as a protagonist for the visual novel; writer Gen Urobuchi commented on her character becoming darker depending on the situations. Urobuchi created his scenario involving Saber and Kiritsugu because their relationship was little explored in the original visual novel. Saber has been voiced by Ayako Kawasumi in her Japanese appearances, and multiple actresses took the role in English-language dubs of the series' animated adaptations.

Merlin once foretold how the white dragon WP representing the Saxons WP and the red dragon WP representing Britain would battle each other, and then afterward Britain would be united by a great king who would defeat the Gauls and Romans. As the incarnation of the red Dragon, Artoria was created to oppose the incarnation of the white Dragon, Uther's brother Vortigern , who opposed the oncoming Age of Man and so wanted to destroy Britain and bring it to ruin. Artoria was born into a time of chaos and war that began with the demise of the Western Roman Empire. It had been believed to be indestructible, but it was only awaiting its destruction at the hands of invading barbarians. In preparation for the war against the barbarians, Rome deprived her island province of any military forces left there. Once Britannia lost the empire's protection, it could not escape becoming independent, causing it to break into smaller countries soon after. This time of barbarian invasions and self-destructive strife between clans started a long period of war that would later become known as the "Dark Ages".

Artoria herself believes she doesn't deserve happiness due to her self-perceived failure as king.

Otherwise known better as King Arthur. Who approves of the virtuous and corrects atrocities. A hero who is a knight in shining armor that anyone would dream about as a child.

She is unable to fly through the sky, but she can repeatedly kick-off of the building to gain momentum. They also decide they need to discover why the island's space-time is distorted as they continue to redevelop the island and make contact with Chaldea. Artoria fights them to discipline them for betraying the Moon Cell.

Saber's rel name is Arturia Pendragon, or King Arthur, a former ruler of Britain, who gives up her humanity for the sake of her country. Before her last breath, she appeals to the world; in exchange for services as a Heroic Spirit, she asks to be given an opportunity to relive her life, where someone more suitable and effective would lead Britain in her stead.

Morgan le Fay and Sir Bedivere escort the dying king to a holy isle ; Artoria orders Bedivere to dispose of Excalibur by throwing it back to Vivian. Although she wishes to continue fighting, she stays her hand to help save the woman's life, and they bring her to the church for healing. While primarily an idealist, she took a more pragmatic approach when ruling and protecting her people.
