This turned out to be a hell of a thing, so this will be split into many posts focusing on each character since I have quite a bit to say and I think Tumblr might break if I put it all into one post. The visuals are so strong in these scenes, in fact, that Rise could have easily gotten away with having pointless fights each episode if the budget allowed that and still be regarded as a fairly decent show. I thought it might be fun to categorize and examine how Leo, Raph, Mikey, Donnie, and April fight by breaking it down into their unique fighting styles, their roles and strengths in battle, how they apply those roles, and how all of these demonstrate different parts of their character. At some point, he had taken a young Casey Jones under his wing and mentored him, recruiting him as part of the resistance. With their defenses failing and the Krang overwhelming them, Leo instructs Michelangelo , now a "badass" mystic, to create a time portal and send Casey through, to prevent the Krang from arriving on Earth in the first place. Leo watches as his brother pushes himself to his absolute limit to develop the portal, which takes him so much power that he crumbles to dust before his eyes. While Leo is quite obviously hurt by his brother's death, he decides to persist forward, thrusting Casey through the portal, just in time for the young man to see him get blasted by the Krang, disintegrating him.
