RT: Oh yeah, very much. We had a day off and ronald tutt the typical tourist thing. We went to the Odeon complex.
Born in Dallas , Texas , United States, Tutt was a native Texan and was involved with music and performing arts for most of his childhood. In an early gig, he appeared on the same bill as a then little-known Elvis Presley. Tutt didn't think much of him, as his girlfriend spent the evening making eyes at him. Tutt recounted this story to Presley years later when he was working for him, which Presley found hilarious. He flew in with his drum kit, which he set up in the recording studio, though while he was waiting to be called, another drummer walked in and began playing his kit. Tutt thought that he had lost the chance to even audition, as Gene Pello was incredibly experienced and seemed to be winning Elvis Presley over.

Tutt played with the JGB until late Presley and Garcia are rarely associated with one another at least without the aid of mind-expanding substances but in a interview with Rolling Stone , Tutt looked back on his two big bosses. But with Jerry we never talked about it, but I just knew my role with that band, no matter what configuration it was, was to help keep it together. He was Ron was a power drummer who also played with finesse. His timing was impeccable and he played his drum parts to the lyrics, as well as the music in any song he played on.

The power of being captured out there, it was the ultimate gilded cage shall we say. I think he had an album coming out 'From Elvis to Memphis'. Do you see any comparisons between what you're doing with Neil and what you did with Elvis? Being in a round containment situation like that was very unusual for him [Elvis], because he liked to work from side to side. RT: There was a little movement, you could feel it, it was moving a little bit, it would go round like one turn then go back again. He's was one very impulsive type individual, and just the fact that anytime he would do something he would go all out. DT: We're always too busy. ET: One thing I? You know. It'd be 'Oh, one of my great regrets is that I didn't get the opportunity to see Elvis when he was alive'. Was it like this all the time or was part of this playing to the cameras? In an early gig, he appeared on the same bill as a then little-known Elvis Presley.
Ronnie Tutt was a drummer who performed and recorded with artists including Elvis Presley — and Jerry Garcia — Tutt remained with the TCB Band throughout their time with Presley as well as joining them for several reunions.
I said 'sure'. I know a lot of people didn't like that, but what a lot of people forget is that Elvis needed a band, he needed an orchestra, or he'd just be singing up there on his own. It was an emotional time as we realised the importance of what we were doing, he was pretty nervous at this particular point in time, he knew a great deal of the world would be looking in at this show. I'd like to ask about another Elvis you worked with, Elvis Costello. Karate was the latest phase and we all studied karate, which was a good thing. Tutt performing in My memories I have are not that. ET: I think that was the problem. See they had the studio sessions and we were doing the live stuff, we were doing our own thing. RT: Kelly's a great lady, she's a good friend of ours. Because, he was always hoping to get another musician, and maybe get them a little cheaper.
I can not take part now in discussion - it is very occupied. Very soon I will necessarily express the opinion.
