Remote desktop login with pin

I recently updated from Windows 10 to Windows 11, and now my Remote Desktop Connection is not working as expected. I enter my login credentials in the RDC client.

By configuring Windows hello instead of a password on a laptop, I noticed that you can't get a password prompt at a Remote Desktop login screen when you start an RDP connection. Is there a way to bypass this because the PIN authentication or biometric authentication won't work on the domain network?

I am not sure that the root cause of the problem starts at the laptop though, as I have the following setup and consequences: - My own account has PIN enabled on laptop, I RDP to a computer on the network with my account and it defaults to starting requiring a PIN and I have to change that, as the remote virtual PC has had PIN entry disabled.
