An entire industry has sprung up to produce Glock clones, or Glock-like pistols that embody what many shooters want a Glock to be. Many of these are tricked-out, flashy pistols, and they usually cost a bit more than the stock OEM Glocks. The cost of optimized slide profiles, optics cuts, improved sights, and other parts adds up. The exception to that, at least at first glance, is the PSA Dagger. Does it live up to the hype? However, many shooters want more. These pistols usually include sleek slide profiling and cocking serrations, varying iron sight and optic options, frames and grips with better ergonomics and textures, as well as different coating options. At this price point, I would have expected the Cerakoted slide to have some pretty noticeable imperfections, but there were none besides a few small pinhead-sized marks near the slide serrations. This model may not have the optics-ready slide, ported barrel, and suppressor-height sights, but everything it does have is functional and gets the job done. Starting up top, it has a standard-height three-dot night sight setup. For those of us who press check often, the front serrations are appreciated. Double points for PSA here.

Go figure. What makes the PSA Dagger so different is that it comes at a great price point.

I originally reviewed this back in but after a few hundred rounds with it, my opinions have somewhat changed. Glocks provide a straightforward and very robust series of handguns that dominate the market.

I had no flaws, no malfunctions, and nothing bad to say about shooting this gun. It has the ergonomics, however, of a Glock Gen 3. I'm going to continue to shoot this gun and see if I can induce a malfunction from the pin walking out or if it walks to a point then is captured- which is what I suspect will happen. Notify me via e-mail if anyone answers my comment. As you can tell, these two pistols have some clear differences and similarities, and I think each has its place in the market. I'm curious if this is a widespread issue or if I'm the lucky guy. Double points for PSA here. Overall, shooting this gun is very smooth, very crisp, and clean and I enjoyed it. Since I'm a holster snob - spoiled by carrying Harry's for years - I would eventually want a holster that is made specifically for this. These pistols usually include sleek slide profiling and cocking serrations, varying iron sight and optic options, frames and grips with better ergonomics and textures, as well as different coating options. Connect with:. Also, the trigger reach is shorter than my G45 so while the frame is similar in appearance, they may have changed the grtip angle. The locking block pin is forward of the takedown levers, and Palmetto uses roll pins rather than solid pins for the locking block and trigger housing.
