And that love continued in the hands of our test team who raved about the mix of power, forgiveness and feel.

The Ping G15 Irons are certainly a case of evolution not revolution and Ping have not forgotten the traits that made the G10 irons so appealing to so many people. We liked the G10 irons and we were hopeful that the G15 irons would be even better. In our tests the G15 irons were a delight to hit. They were very forgiving right across the face and the full cavity graphics badge did its job in enhancing the feel and sound of the club at impact. For mid to high handicappers these clubs are ideal and are available in sets from 3 iron through to sand wedge. I borrowed my father's G 15 orange dot graphite soft regular shaft irons today. I've never used them before and used to play to a 10 handicap for years.

With a club as easy to hit as the G15 hybrid, why fight a difficult long iron? The new G15 hybrid offers great distance, incredible forgiveness, and loads of versatility in a new package. PING has been a major innovator in the industry for quite a while. Up until this point, my experience with PING clubs had been limited to their drivers and putters. Though I never pulled the trigger on it, the Rapture V2 was in my opinion one of the best drivers I had ever hit. Normally, hybrids fit in great with this demographic, though there are always golfers who want to play long irons over the hybrid counterparts. Instead, think of this hybrid as being more like a driving iron, similar to the hybrids made popular by Adams. The intention of this design is to make the player set up to hit this hybrid the same way they would with a regular iron. Perimeter weighting is provided by a large internal toe pad in order to provide forgiveness and assists in locating the center of gravity low and close to the face for a high launch and low spin. In fact, PING is calling the G15 their longest and most forgiving hybrid to date, thanks to the previously mentioned toe pad.

I feel like I can hit these anywhere I so choose and man are they easy to hit. Facebook Comments.

Every year it seems like one company after another hypes up the release of their new driver yet to the point almost no one even listens anymore. Because every year so many of them fall short of their promises and claims. Of course every company is going to try and hype their product…we get it…that is what sells clubs. But we are out to have the most informed golf blog on the planet. So…if it is good we will tell you it is good and if it is bad we will tell you just how bad it really is. And that brings us to our Ping G15 review today…and is another reason why I talked about hype. You rarely hear it coming from this company.

I love the fitting cart and the color coded scale Ping created years ago that make sure every golfer can get the exact lie angle needed for maximum performance. I am a red dot player. Just like always, they came in spot on. The scoring clubs did come in at D2, which felt perfect. The weight comes from a thinner more explosive face.

Payment will be collected in full upon placement of order. So easy to replace and a perfect replacement. I didn't realize how much I missed having this club in my bag. Finding replacement irons on an older set is never easy. Morton works directly with ping to get brand new old stock clubs. It was always difficult to find individual irons for my older set online. In comes Morton Golf and for an excellent value I was able to get a brand new replacement iron.

Technology The previously mentioned sole is instrumental in helping get the ball in the air quickly as it disperses the MOI evenly across the bottom of the club. Unfortunately i cant find a place where i can hit both and see the ball flight and distance. After trying a demo 7 iron and a hybrid on the range I was sold, consistant yds with the 7 with ease and all straight shots, sweet as a nut. But we all go through tendencies over a season of having days where we draw the ball more or fade the ball more. The ball flight produced by the G15 is piercing and boring, but did get a little high for my liking. All golfers hit all of the drivers including the Ping G Link is for G I have the G5 3 hybrid and G10 4 hybrid and I think the driving iron style of this club is even better than those. If the G15 irons were a motor vehicle, it would be a pick up truck. I have used the 20 and 27 degree for a few years now and hit them better than any other club in my bag.

And that love continued in the hands of our test team who raved about the mix of power, forgiveness and feel. The G15 features a seven per cent larger face than the 10 model and this, coupled with the External Sole Weight Pad, means it is more forgiving than before as well as also being lower-spinning — so even better players can take advantage. Leon preferred the looks of the i15 but admitted that was no reason not to put this one in the bag, commenting particularly on the solid feel and forgiveness while John returned one of his best dispersion ratings with no compromise on distance — exactly what a player of his handicap is looking for.

I should be able to try them out on the range in another couple of weeks. Firstly let me say one thing, ignore what you might read about the way these irons look, once you've hit them the looks will be the last thing on your mind! I noticed more distance with the Burner 7 than the G I reccommend these irons to the higher handicapp player who want to get better. It is easy to get ball airborne off the deck with this and it is easy to control direction with a slight draw. I thouht new clubs would help. So on course, the club seemed to strike the ball very well but then again, the clubface is so big how could you miss the sweet spot? Now you need to bring back the guess the golf club posts, I was pretty good at those. I am impressed so far and very happy I bought these irons after looking at a number of irons and manufacturers - all in the same GI or golf improvement category as well as some blades. They look great and the sound of the ball coming off the face is crisp and solid.

  1. Excuse, that I can not participate now in discussion - there is no free time. But I will be released - I will necessarily write that I think on this question.
