First things first, Bollywood is back. Shah Rukh Khan is back. Bonus: the very svelte Deepika Padukone , matching SRK stride for stride, giving stiff competition to Katrina Kaif , who kicked serious ass in Tiger 2. And the chief antagonist, played by John Abraham , who manages to make the most of his lines. Pakistan is back eyeing Kashmir it will never learn, will it. A deadly virus, much more dangerous than Covid 19, is being cooked up in top-secret labs. The problem of carrying off a two-and-half hour film is evident in the places where you stifle a yawn yes, it can happen even when everything is galloping along at break-neck speed. Trust us, we got it the first time. But the slack is gathered up quickly enough: an entire train is commandeered in the service of a special featuring Pathaan and a keffiyeh-sporting spy whose trademark moves had the audience roaring. And then there is that song which created such a controversy weeks before it hit the theatres. But let me reassure those worried: nothing besharam happens, sadly, even with nothing between them but a gun. The film comes at a time when Bollywood, and SRK have been under siege.

Principal photography commenced in November in Mumbai. Pathaan was theatrically released in India on 25 January , coinciding with the Republic Day weekend. The film received positive reviews from critics. The news impacts a cancer-ridden Pakistani army general Qadir, who decides to exact vengeance against India and signs a contract with Jim, who leads a private terrorist organization called Outfit X. With Colonel Sunil Luthra's permission, Pathaan and his team head to Dubai to stop Outfit X's suspected plans of attacking the President of India at a scientific conference. However, they realize that their actual plan was to kidnap two scientists Dr. Farooqui and Dr. Sahani and that the original information they received was fake. Jim attacks the scientists' convoy and Pathaan tries to stop him.

Renew Subscription. The soundtrack complements the narrative perfectly, enhancing the emotional impact of key scenes and elevating the overall experience. Siddharth Anand writes a decent story, but it could have been a lot better. More than a shadow for the hero, her performance made the audience convinced she was a having a important role in the movie. The movie tries to get from one plot to another without really building up on anything. Watched - Hindi. They disgraced the honor of Pakistani woman brilliantly. Clip SRK is back in about 5 years and it's good. Don't miss the scene just before end credits for it's not everyday you see two superstars in a banter about their stardom. Pathaan is your true-blue commercial, masala entertainer that's not trying to send across any message or be a social commentary on the current state of affairs in the country.

You've seen Khan do Chaiyya Chaiyaa on top of a train, but Pathaan gives you much more. But what truly sets Pathaan apart is its impeccable direction and visual spectacle. Anyways jokes aside I am not at all convinced by the title of the movie as Pathaan. Pakistan is back eyeing Kashmir it will never learn, will it. Story line is very simple and VFX are totally disappointed. Pathaan, Jim and Rubai lock eyes and horns, as they hop continents and indulge in a dangerous game of betrayal and revenge. You can change your city from here. People are fed up with this kinda of repeated nonsense. Other than that, the plot was super unclear and I didn't understand why a virus was brought into it. His swag , his dialogue delivery, i cannot able to take my eyes from him. Srk sorry not so much good.
