After going through some water my check engine light came on. I didn't pay any attention until I got out on the freeway and realized the tranny was stuck in 2nd gear. When I got home I ran the codes and it showed p which means I have a solenoid switch valve sticking. After doing some research I've realized this is inside of the valve body. This code is typically associated with a faulty Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid Valve or issues with the wiring harness and connectors. The cause could be an open or shorted circuit, poor electrical connection, or low transmission fluid. To fix the issue, visually inspect the wiring harness and connectors for any damage.
