I pulled code P I didn't worry about it during the holiday's due to lack of time and funds. But I need to get this sensor replaced. I've seen conflicting reports that it's on the tranny and some that say it's on the rear diff. Any hints would be appreciated. Sort by Oldest first Oldest first Newest first Most reactions.

The only way for the VSS to have a "wiring" issue is for that signal circuit to be bad, the other two circuits related to the VSS would cause no-starts or erratic behavior of other sensors listed above and more fault codes. However, if left unchecked the problem can get worse and cause more serious issues such as a complete loss of power or transmission failure. The P code is for 2nd gen Neons or a Stratus. I can see how the casual glance of a picture could lead to misinterpretation. Any hints would be appreciated. It's better to talk, especially where your car is concerned. See where the wires from the burnt connector go Circuit F12 for power, K52 for ground.
