They have to hook up their scan tool to run a monitor test to make sure its the ESIM switch, p0441 jeep compass. From doing some research I understand the somewhere in the evap system there is a leak.

When I bought the car used , I got a carfax with it There we no issues, other than a single part being replaced 3 different times in a year called the "evaporative emissions vent purge valve" dealer wording. I am not so inclined to bring it back to the dealer because they replaced a part 3 times and still the same issue.
It is frequently caused by a loose or bad gas cap, cracked or disconnected EVAP system hoses, vacuum leaks, or a bad purge valve. Always start by taking a look at the gas cap. It indicates that there is an issue with the Evaporative Emissions System. Its primary function is emissions reduction. It also keeps fuel vapor from escaping the gas tank and releasing into the atmosphere. Storing them in the canister prevents fuel vapors from escaping into the atmosphere. It can detect the pressure at the purge valve by measuring the vacuum pressure and comparing it to what it should be for any given RPM.

Before I cough up the bucks I'm going to take the LDP off, clean it up, check for obvious problems, clean up the electrical contacts and try to do some analysis of whether voltage is present when I start the engine to make sure it's not electrical upstream of the pump.
