In episode 7 of season 1 of Oz, entitled "Plan B," tensions rise within the prison walls as the inmates continue to struggle for power and control. This leads to a more significant power struggle within the gang, as the various members try to assert their dominance and position within the hierarchy. Meanwhile, Tobias Beecher, another inmate, is struggling with his own demons as he fights to come to terms with his past as an alcoholic and the harm he caused to his family. He turns to Sister Peter Marie for guidance and support as he tries to work through his issues and make amends. At the same time, we see Governor James Devlin and Warden Leo Glynn continuing their efforts to bring in new business ventures to the prison, despite opposition from other officials and the public. They come up with a new plan to use the prison as a testing ground for a new drug, which they believe could bring in significant revenue.
