Some years start out hot and cool down, and others catch fire much later in the cycle. Looking at the diversity of the applicant pool, the proportion of applicants of color is slightly below, but roughly in line with the past five years. Of course, we also need to remember that this fall we have four LSAT administrations, as compared to only three last fall. That makes it difficult to compare the numbers as we move through the fall. But it appears that by the time the November scores are released, we will have very close to the same number of test takers this fall as compared to a year ago, in the vicinity of 70, And it appears as well that the percentage of first-time test takers may be slightly up.

Thanks for the info. Personally, I think they should offer the tests electronically. It's multiple choice so the computer can give you an unofficial score report at the end. I've taken other tests that way and it helped me know whether or not I needed to sign up to take the test again. They wouldn't have to offer it at all testing sites. Some sites are already equipped with labs that would work. Surely the technology cost would be offset somehow by the reduction in printing and grading. A lot of people would pay extra to take it electronically anyway. SkinnyD's argument is most vulnerable to criticism on the grounds that it.. WISH it was electronic so we could know our scores more quickly!!!!!!!!!!

The October exam allows you get to your scores back in time to apply for schools this application cycle, and even retest if needed. This came along with several other changes to the remote LSAT that will begin in August notably, the return of an unscored section and a break between the second and third sections.
