We are a foster home based animal Shelter dedicated to finding loving new homes for unwanted, stray, and abandoned Shelties, Collies, Old English Sheepdogs, doodles and other small dogs. We serve Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, the District of Columbia, eastern West Virginia, and south central Pennsylvania, and are staffed solely by volunteers.

Virginia Sheltie Rescue was founded by a group of passionate animal lovers who wanted to make a difference in their community. Since we started, we have rescued and rehomed thousands of animals. Our team of dedicated staff and volunteers work tirelessly to provide the best possible care for our animals. They are passionate, knowledgeable, and committed to our mission.
