In true "Power" fashion, the spinoff series introduces one of its newest ruthless characters, played by Caroline Chikezie, in the most explosive way possible during season three 's premiere, which aired on March Aka the same ring Mecca gifted Monet in season two. But Noma doesn't even truly make her presence known until halfway through the premiere, when she rolls up on Tariq Michael Rainey Jr. According to Starz, Noma is the "ruthless new connect" who disrupts Tariq's plans to exit the drug game and puts him, Brayden, and Effie Alix Lapri back in business with the Tejadas as they're "challenged to move more weight than ever before. She has no tolerance for nonsense — she don't play any games. Chikezie says much of what we see of Noma in "Power Book II" season three was created by showrunner Brett Mahoney when she booked the role. However, the actor brought her queenpin character to life by drawing additional inspiration from an unlikely source: Denzel Washington 's Frank Lucas from "American Gangster. She's kind of male, energetically speaking, so [she'd definitely] be Denzel in 'American Gangster. According to Chikezie, the Tejadas, Tariq, and his crew aren't going to know what hit them this season with Noma calling all the shots. She restructures the whole thing they have going on. In the city that never sleeps, the criminal underworld was always abuzz with rumors of new players emerging in the game. Nobody knew where she had come from or how she had risen to power so quickly, but they all knew one thing for sure: she was not someone to be messed with. Noma had tracked down a woman who had bought a blue diamond ring at an auction, which was supposed to be hers. As the season progressed, Noma made her presence known in more ways than one. She was always dressed impeccably, with her hair and makeup done to perfection. Her signature look was a black leather jacket, which she wore over a tight-fitting dress that showed off her curves. Her sharp wit and unrelenting demeanor were a force to be reckoned with, and she commanded respect from everyone who crossed her path.

Nomar is portrayed by Vinicius Machado. Nomar said that he was in prison when he was 19 and he was raped several times by his fellow inmates. So many times that he became used to it. Nomar was one Ruiz's men, he was a lower ranking member who aimed for the top. While with his boss, he became interested in Ruiz's year old daughter, Isabel Ruiz and began a relationship with her but hid it as he knew her father would kill him. However, Angela took his phone which revealed Ruiz's daughter sending him some incriminating photos and threaten to send them to his boss if he didn't follow their orders as he resigns to their will. It is later revealed that Angela took the photos off the internet and used a random one to blackmail Nomar. As he started spying on his own gang for information, he continued his secret relationship with Isabella Ruiz. When Nomar sends a picture of his penis to her, Ruiz simultaneously snatches the phone from her and sends her to do chores.

She is introduced in the final season of power as Tariq's love interest from Choate where she was hostile towards him for selling drugs until she sold drugs with Tariq and Brayden. The two started a relationship until she betrayed him and Brayden got Tariq expelled. Her motive was revealed when Tariq meets up with her and began having sex with him and supported him after he was arrested and bailed for two murders. Tariq ends the relationship after he finds out about Effie attempts to kill Lauren.
