NieR: Automata takes place in a desolate wasteland in which only a few living organisms dwell. Following the stories of 9S and 2B, nier side quests, it is up to the player to see how their journey unfolds.
Side quests lead to unique side stories and loot, including a handful of weapons and very useful upgrade materials - so you'll want to get involved. These side quests are broadly the same with minor story differences in both Nier Gestalt and Nier Replicant for the original release, and likewise in the new remaster NieR Replicant ver. There is one all-new quest in the new remastered version of the game, also included here - this is a complete set of side quest list and quest walkthroughs. We have more details in our endings guide. Do remember, also, that if you're struggling to activate side quests, try talking to Devola in the Village Tavern; at any stage she'll offer you a smattering of suggested side quests. As mentioned above, these quests are available in the first half of the game.
Nier side quests
Quests for NieR Replicant are the different tasks that follow the adventure of the Protagonist. Main Quests focuses on the plot of the game and it further advances the story until you are able to reach the end, Side Quests, on the other hand, are optional tasks that are usually tied to the supporting features of the game such as the lore and NPCs. Completing a quest usually unlocks certain features, such as new locations, information to the lore of the game, but the highlight of it all is acquiring various rewards that can aid the player throughout their journey. This page covers a list of all the quests featured in NieR Replicant. Upon finding out about the Song of the Ancients from Devola and Popola, NieR will receive a prompt to start some quests. Some Villages may ask you to perform jobs for them. To view any such requests, open the menu then choose the Quests tab. NieR can then decide to take the time to do some side quests for rewards or continue to progress in the story. Most NieR quests begin in the Village or the Seafront, but a few quests take place elsewhere. Quest availability will be indicated with a "speech bubble" marker above an NPCs head. The quests will appear after returning from the Barren Temple with the King of Facade. The quest "The Promised Gift" is also missing for Seafront in act 2.
There's this specific "side quest" with 9S where you have to hack 3 robots one in a rooftop, one on the tower near bridge to the mall and another one on the edge of a ikea led closr to the broken bridge near the crater and I have NO IDEA how to "finish" this side quest, nier side quests. Completing NieR: Automata without engaging in side activities will not affect the ending whatsoever, but certain missions will offer some much-needed information about the game's world. For those who want to experience everything NieR has to offer, these side quests should be sought out. The "YoRHa Betrayers" mission becomes available after the events of the flooded section of the city where 2B and 9S defeat the Goliath. It tasks the two protagonists with tracking a group of rogue androids and putting a stop to their treasonous ways.
