So familiar are long-time viewers with the catastrophes afforded the character, she has slotted back into the role with ease. She was bound to want to try to sort out the latest problems facing her Stephie. Firstly, there was the revelation that Steph had been in a relationship with a woman. With the troubled history between Lyn and Paul, you could be sure that Lyn was eager to give him a piece of her mind. Those who knew Lyn of old were anticipating the impact her visit would have on Steph. Whilst Steph loves her mother dearly, and knows that Lyn always has her best interests at heart, she also knows from experience that her mum tends to go into interfering mode, often with disastrous consequences. Lyn was immediately invited to stay with Karl and Susan.

Paul and Terese are caught up in the excitement of their upcoming wedding when Lyn Scully, another one of Paul's ex-wives, suddenly appears. Lyn explains that she has come to town to conduct interviews for the Retreat, but manages to find time to ruffle Paul and Terese's feathers. Grabbing a moment alone with Terese, Lyn adamantly warns her off marrying Paul, repeating what Gail said to her last week. A frustrated Terese shares the bizarre coincidence with Paul, who grows determined to end his ex-wives' meddling. But when he confronts Lyn, she leaps at the chance to get inside Paul's head. She points out the common denominator in all his failed marriages is him and lays down a challenge: if Paul really loves Terese, he should end things. What will Paul do? Meanwhile, Gary is frantically trying to dress himself for his second date with Gail, as Sheila and Amy watch on in horror at his fashion choices.

Lyn quickly ended their friendship and threw Susan out of the house. We know you mean well! Former characters. She still calls me 'Mamma'! As she began to feel more and more ousted at the salon, in favour of younger and trendier workers, Lyn decided to quit and become freelance. As time went on, Lyn began to notice a change in Steph and realised that her eldest daughter had developed a crush on Drew Kirk , the fiance of her best friend. Luckily though, he and Summer had managed to get a flight back and were on their way to the hospital when Steph suddenly went into labour and decided that, despite having little strength left, she would go through with a natural delivery. With the difficult decision made, Lyn set about picking up the pieces. After the decision was made, the girls were told. These shocking home truths forced Lyn and Valda to talk about their feelings. My own favourite Lyn moment, this time round, was when she enthusiastically suggested other potential business investments to Steph. Say what you like about her: she's got staying power. In , she took roles in Russell Street Theatre productions. Retrieved 2 February Lyn went along with Steph's idea to try and get a bank loan, so that she could return to Shelley Bay and re-open her salon, but when Paul, now the owner of the newspaper, attempted to run her out of town with a front page article about what a terrible person she was, his plan backfired, as the bank refused the loan and she had to stay.

If Steph faces a difficult time either in her custody battle for Charlie, or with her investment in the motel, you can expect Lyn to periodically breeze in and kick up a storm, probably making things ten times worse but somehow managing to convince Steph that everything she does is for the best. Meanwhile, Lyn was also thrilled when Michelle returned to town for a few weeks. After Steph had experienced months of problems with her ex-jailbird boyfriend Woody , Lyn was horrified when Steph decided to leave with him, and join a witness protection scheme. Lyn was adamant that all her children would be natural births and went home and proceeded to practice her exercises to turn the baby around. Lyn wasted little time in rubbing Rebecca's nose in the fact that she was staying - and moving into the house that Rebecca had been calling home until the Parker family sold it. Lyn allows Kyle Canning Chris Milligan to move in after he helps out around the house. She's not quite as gullible as she was. On the original date it was due to be shown, Sindi was embarrassed when it was replaced with a Portugese Rock Eisteddfod. Joe sensibly left Lyn well, the actor was sacked , and Lyn has since remarried Paul, presumably as some kind of karmic punishment for all his misdeeds over the years. Lyn worries that Steph is suffering from post-natal depression and tries to stage an intervention, but Steph just walks out. Another one of Paul's ex-wives, Lyn Scully, turns up!
