N Interview - Decision could not be made due to missing file :. At the onset, I could sense something was wrong. The IO emerged from her office twice to ask me for my green card, then reappeared onscreen to our virtual interview and informed me she had not received my file, but would continue with with interview plus exam questions. I obliged, answered some questions, and passed the exam. She could not put a timeframe on how long it would take to receive my file, review and make a determination, but did state that upon review of the info she had, there should not be a problem with approving the case. Ugh, talk about utter and painful disappointment. Now, my question is - who has had a similar experience? What was your outcome? Pls share if you experienced similar! I had that same email the next day after my interview and find nothing, 4 months plus now with no decision on my case ,the IO told me the same exact thing, it's very frustrating, but I'm depending on God so far.

USCIS has days from the date of the initial naturalization interview to issue a decision.
