Mortal kombat x missing characters
February 14, Hey gamers!
Mortal Kombat is one of the most beloved franchises in gaming. Each new game that's released is met with the same fan fervor and enthusiasm. Controversies aside arising from the insane work hours from the development team and grindy nature of the game, it has continued Netherrealm Studios' string of successes. While the game's roster has a good mix of fresh faces and classic fighters, there are some from Mortal Kombat X that didn't make the cut. Let's take a look.
Mortal kombat x missing characters
Mortal Kombat 1 's roster is looking impressive so far, but there are still some major characters that are unaccounted for. So far, a lot of the most important characters from the series have managed to receive a place in Mortal Kombat 1 's story, ensuring a spot in the new universe. However, there are still some significant gaps in the roster that may need to be filled with vital characters. In fact, a few of the characters not yet mentioned may be a surprise to longtime fans. Following the canonical ending of Mortal Kombat 11 , the universe has been reset by Liu Kang and his new powers as the God of Fire. While his intended plan of creating a world without war or strife seems to have failed, many details have been changed in the new world regardless. Many characters have new stories to tell, and potentially new destinies awaiting them, and this could potentially include some unannounced favorites once Mortal Kombat 1 launches. Fans already know about Mortal Kombat 1 's version of Kitana , but the status of one of her closest allies is still a mystery. Jade, the bodyguard and friend of the fan-wielding princess, has still not been announced for a role on the playable roster nor as a Kameo fighter. Jade is almost as important to Kitana's history as Mileena is, so her lack of presence creates a notable hole in the roster. While the new direction of Mortal Kombat 1 's timeline could lead to things playing out differently between Kitana and Mileena, it's worth seeing where Jade plays into the situation as well. She has consistently been one of Kitana's closest connections and got another boost in relevance after Kotal Kahn entered the story. Jade has been important for several major characters, so her presence in a new timeline feels like a given. Although not the most expected choice for a returning villain for Mortal Kombat 1 , Onaga is a frightening foe to behold.
But with the positive fan reception he received in his debut game, it is a bit disheartening to miss out on further development for him.

Mortal Kombat 11 is an impressively encompassing fighting game experience. Even so, Mortal Kombat X still has value. Mainly, the combat is faster and there are a handful of characters who are not available in the sequel. With the Mortal Kombat X's inclusion as a PS Plus offering for the month of October, this seems like an appropriate time to highlight these characters who were left behind when the sequel hit shelves. Many fan favorites made it to the new game as DLC , but these poor souls were not chosen. At least it makes jumping into the prior title a more worthwhile endeavor. This ninja doesn't have the most personality — he is basically a mindless collection of souls — but Ermac's abilities and design make him appealing to fans. He received a lot more characterization in the 3D titles from the start of the century, even becoming a protagonist who positively affects the events of those games. It would be great to see Ermac regain this position in the future during this new timeline.

So imagine my shock when I found he was completely left off the MKX roster. That's the core of Mortal Kombat: mortal beings fighting to the death to protect their realm or pursue personal missions. There were possibilities with Cyrax, which is why it's such a disappointment that he didn't make the jump to MKX. Freddy Kreuger. But on the other hand, his villainous deeds and untrustworthiness make him an acquired taste at best. There is a possibility that Onaga could reappear in Mortal Kombat 1. Mortal Kombat and hoaxes, who would have thought? Created as a clone of Kitana using Shang Tsung's sorcery, Mileena has no love for her "sister. Using a combination of strength, agility, and her unique hybrid powers, Mileena has been a favorite of players since her debut in Mortal Kombat 2. His Fatalities were also among the most creative in the game, using his control of water to both drown and maim his opponent. Sheeva may be able to fill that role just as she did in Mortal Kombat 3 and several games afterward.
But with more than a dozen titles and countless characters in the classic fighting game franchise, there are also quite a few people who are missing from the action.
This exclusion is unfortunate for players who were looking forward to screaming the skin off of their opponents. Like Leatherface and Bo Rai Cho. In the old continuity, he was turned into a cybernetic ninja in MK3. Now that Mortal Kombat X is out, it's time to take a look at the roster as a whole and think about the unfortunate kombatants that didn't make the cut. Though his absence means there will be a different antagonist to focus on more fully, long-time fans of the franchise will be sad to learn of his exclusion. Now may be an excellent time to put him back in the spotlight. Log In Sign Up. New to Shacknews? When I go into the game, its still only showing six characters accessible and the others are still grayed out. So what's the deal and when are we getting these characters? The infamous chainsaw killer swings his enormous weapon around as if it weighed next to nothing. Reptile has been a staple character in the Mortal Kombat series from the very beginning. With Mortal Kombat X offering the most varied set of finishers in the series' history, Smoke deserved to join his peers. His power and vicious nature made him a threat to everyone, hero and villain alike.
