The owners of Modern Bread and Bagel — a popular gluten-free destination with locations on the Upper West Side, Chelsea and Los Angeles — have leased a space at Third Avenue, between 80th and 81st streets. The kosher and gluten-free bakery has made a big splash since opening its original location on the Upper West Side in ; offering bagels, cakes modern bread and bagel uws, pastries and more. However, per a phone call with the owners, the exact concept for this space has yet to be announced. The 1, square foot Third Avenue space was formerly home to Casa Pizza.
