Sir Maurice Shock 15 April — 7 July was a British university administrator and educationalist. During his early career, Shock worked for British intelligence. He was one of the team of assistants to Sir Winston Churchill in the writing of his histories. Shock served as vice-chancellor of the University of Leicester from to , and was chairman of the Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Principals for two years. The glazing alternates across the face of the building with Black glazing across the panels. The building is home to the to the laboratories and teaching accommodation for the Medical School within the College of Medicine, Biological Sciences and Psychology.
