A massive fire at Brown Avenue and Edge Street has decimated a condo complex and displaced hundreds of Maple Ridge residents. The fire, which started around midnight Friday, and continued into the early hours of Saturday, June 10, engulfed the new development in the block of Brown Avenue and the residential building behind it located at st Ave. According to Ridge Meadows RCMP, the apartment complex was completely evacuated, with up to three other residential buildings also being impacted by the fire. Several streets have been blocked off as the firefighters continue their efforts to fully extinguish the flames. However, the City of Maple Ridge has reported that the fire is now under control.
