As the title might insinuate, I'm making a strength-intelligence build and I gotta get me some o that dark sorcery action. But trudging through the game for a second Manus soul manus catalyst be time consuming. Should I get the pursuers or the catalyst? This is apparent due to it being generally weaker than the Tin Crystallization Catalyst at higher INT levels due to it's lower magic adjust yet able to surpass its power when the dark spells mentioned above are used provided the user has a high strength stat. The halved use count effect is purely detrimental; it doesn't have any connection with the increased damage when casting Sorceries with this catalyst. The increased damage comes from the Catalyst's high MagAdjust and from the Catalyst's physical damage for Dark Sorceries. As such, it is not advisable to cast Miracles or Pyromancies while wielding this catalyst in the other hand. Has the highest Strength scaling among Catalysts , and with enough Strength and Intelligence , it is the strongest Catalyst for casting Dark Sorceries. The Damage stat dictates how much damage the weapon does. The requirements determines how high various Stats must be in order to wield the weapon effectively. The Damage Reduction stat dictates the percentage of damage reduced while blocking.

Similarly to the Tin Crystallization Catalyst , the Manus Catalyst greatly boosts the power of spells at the cost of halving their casts including Pyromancies and Miracles , though this may be offset with use of the Dusk Crown Ring. In addition, the Manus Catalyst also boosts the power of Dark sorceries, based on the player's strength stat. The strong attack of the Manus Catalyst is quite powerful for a catalyst, but very slow, and uses the Greataxe moveset. The Manus Catalyst's Magic Adjust scales very quickly with intelligence, at a rate of about 8 points per level. However, it reaches its limit at 30, where the scaling drops to about 2 points per level, until 50 intelligence.
