My 'tail light out' indicator slowly came on while driving during the day with lights off but none of the tail lights appear to be burned out. None of the other indication lights have come on though. Is this the early alternator failure warning system or just something in the tail light circuit? I had the same problem.

If the light comes on you have a secondary filament in one of the taillight bulbs. Then turn the switch to on if it pops on then you have a primary filament bad in one of the taillight bulbs.
