Overall, Riot Games has a new co-streaming program, as announced. However, it remains unknown what the requirements are for the application process. Nevertheless, Riot has noted that no new streamers or broadcast partners can join the program without the consent of the League of Legends Championship Series leaders. As for participants, they are allowed to co-stream the event but only with Riot Games permits. An important thing to note is that guests are banned from sharing the co-streaming content to their channels or uploading it on third-party servers unless they are direct members of the program themselves. The new decision of Riot Games to restrict co-streaming of LCS has caused disturbing reactions among the gaming community because no one can explain why this is happening.

All eyes are on reigning Spring Champions Evil Geniuses to defend the throne. The team ended the Summer split on a high note, securing first place with a record. Despite conquering the season grind, the EG squad will have to watch out for Thieves, who were one victory away from a first-place tiebreaker. Out of 10 franchised esports organizations competing in the LCS Summer split, only eight teams qualify for the playoffs. Their placement determines which round they are seeded into. In round 1 of the upper bracket, the third seed plays the sixth seed, while the fourth seed plays the fifth seed. After round 1, the first seed Evil Geniuses selects their round 2 opponent from the two round 1 winners. The champion and runner-up qualify for the Worlds Group Stage, while the third team secures a spot in the Play-In Stage.
