My Lamy safari pastel 2019 Safari-hating friend just sent me this, which, courtesy of the nice folks at Goulet Pens, is apparently what Lamy has cooked up for the Safari special edition. Maybe they are better in person, and at least they are different, and not black. But my disappointment is more general.

Lamy's pretty, new pastel colors for are a big hit with me. So fresh! So airy! I had trouble deciding which one I wanted. I was just leaning toward the inevitable Mint Green , when Brad sent that very pen for me to review. But how do I review a Lamy Safari? Surely we've reviewed it a dozen times already.

Also, as you say, there is no way Lamy is going to cater to my sense of the Safari, or what I want from the pen. Each to their own and all that…. I know, right?
