I came here a couple of times with my mother, an acquaintance of mine and my exboyfriend a long time ago. The staff are very respectful, friendly and helpful, but I did not like the fact that they put very little meat on the carne asada and the chicken tacos and the rest is just tomato. The fried beans with rice are to die for. I think they use lard instead of oil to fry these beans with rice. I also don't like the fact that they close on Tuesdays to clean up the place. But I very highly recommend these beans with rice to everyone. It's like visiting your Tia's house No Air conditioner Definitely going back! I've been coming here since I was a little girl. Over 30 years Great place to eat. The owners are super nice people and make you feel welcome. The food is so hearty and tastes so good.

After visiting the Heritage Square Museum today, we were hungry. Seriously hungry. We spotted this place as we were heading back to the Metro station. Late afternoon, the place was quiet, but began to fill while we ate. The carnitas were delicious. I loved the The frijoles were excellent.
