Not even a Monday could keep movie lovers away from the newly reopened Cinema 8, as they eagerly flocked to catch a dose of the latest films. On opening day, Laura Ramirez couldn't suppress her smile as she chatted with customers. On Monday, the reopening of Cinema 8 drew dozens of eager moviegoers, all curious to see what's new on the big screen and to check out the result of the movie theater's renovations. Ashley Ramirez and Bobby Wilson were all smiles as they greeted customers and guided them towards a fantastic movie experience. William Pollack, the owner of Cinema 8, described today's reopening as a "breath of fresh air" after the theater was unexpectedly shut down for an extended period of time. Today's reopening brought a smile to the face of Bobby Wilson, the general manager of Cinema 8. As part of the reopening, Cinema 8 introduced a self-ticket kiosk that allows moviegoers to purchase tickets without the need for any human interaction. Kearney Cinema 8 reopens Friday after being closed for more than three months due to the pandemic. It's Popcorn Lover's Day! To celebrate this delicious day we decided to visit Kearney Cinema 8 to learn about how they make their popcorn. We all know that popcorn tastes better at the movies, but have you ever wondered why? Brittany Land, Kearney Cinema 8 Manager walked us through their popcorn process. There will be two showtimes each day at 4 p. Head counts will be conducted to ensure the audiences do not pass 25 percent capacity, until Sunday, when Kearney Cinema 8 officials plan to allow 50 percent occupancy. Any changes will be posted on the Kearney Cinema 8 Facebook page , according to Wilson. Since asking their Facebook fans for movie suggestions, the theater has some fan favorites in store for moviegoers.
