Forty-two Hamilton High School students competed Feb. Within competition we get to prepare for success in college and career by testing our skills and knowledge. In addition, the conference also includes informational sessions where we can learn from companies and colleges about current trends. Students compete in multiple events at the conference to determine who moves on to the International Career Development Conference. Some students choose to compete in an additional project-based category where they must complete a written report prior to the conference and then an on-site presentation with an industry professional. One-hundred six medals and 39 plaques were earned for a total of awards. It is such a privilege to get to work with these amazing students and watch them build such a wide set of skills that will help accelerate them in their future plans. I was able to really grow my network and meet people with similar interests to me from other areas of Wisconsin. Based on competition results, thirty-two Hamilton High School students qualified to compete at the international competition in Anaheim, CA in April. They will join more than 20, other high school students from across the globe.
