She may be fairly new to the Strictly family, but you might recognise Jowita as the winner of The Greatest Dancer. Her victory saw her perform in the Ballroom that same year, before joining our line-up for good in ! Jowita has had a super successful career in dance, beginning at the age of 12 and going on to become the Polish Open Latin Champion. In she ended her competitive career to join touring dance company Burn The Floor, where she performed around the world for four years before coming to the UK. During her time on The Greatest Dancer she was mentored by and performed with our very own Oti Mabuse, getting the best introduction to the Strictly life possible! The CBBC presenter impressed judges during gruelling week series with his style, grace and rhythm. It took two and a half hours and a total of 12 dances — not including the bonus ones from the Strictly professionals and the group dance from the Class of — but in the end, there could only be one winner. With the new series of Strictly Come Dancing coming to a close, we can already feel ourselves looking forward to the Christmas special of the show. She was then part of a touring dance company, Burn the Floor, for four years before finding her home on Strictly. Jowita joined Strictly in its 19th season in At first, she only appeared in group dances, but the following season she was paired with Hamza Yassin , a British wildlife cameraman and presenter.
