Martin's source material are likely befuddled by one name that's been popping up around discussions of Game of Thrones lately: Jeyne Poole. This name has been bandied about continuously over the past couple of weeks in reference to Sansa's storyline, and yet it probably means nothing to you unless you've read A Song Of Ice And Fire.
She is described as very pretty, with brown eyes and dark hair. Fearing that Brienne will risk her life in vain to save the girl due to her vow to Catelyn , Jaime reveals to her the girl is an impostor. Jeyne breaks several ribs, as Theon lands on top of her, and the tip of her nose becomes black due to frostbite. On reaching the city, Eddard began investigating the death of his friend Jon Arryn, and his discoveries led to his arrest and eventual execution. Taking advantage of the distraction, the spearwives and Theon get Jeyne out of her room.
