By vonholtz , September 21, in General. In ark the island Dodo come in all different levels. But for some reason in Scorched Earth every Jerboa I have seen is level one. Why is this? Trying to figure out what the story is behind the design of the jerboa. The actual jerboa is a small desert rodent the size of a field mouse. Well I am no expert on the critters of ark. But beavers today are not the size of ponies ether. But in Ark they are. I do think from stuff I have read. That way back in time every thing was bigger over all. From what I remember this is do to a higher oxygen level back then. I seem to remember even plants were bigger then today. Add in to that line from jurassic world. We need bigger, louder, more teeth. I think the dev some time fallow this same line of thinking. After all they need to make the game fun.

Unfortunately, being harmless and lovable is inadequate as a defense mechanism in this wasteland, and that means Renopila is at the bottom of the food chain.
Renopila Amplexus is a small rodent like creature from an unknown time that has a herbivorous diet and cowardly temperament. Slightly hard to find and very delicate to handle, these creatures seem to be rodents that run around trying to survive but end up becoming snacks to predators. It is quite a mystery how these creatures came to exist and their origins seem uncertain but for some reason they remain existent on the island despite the fact they are low on the food chain. These creatures will not run if a human approach but will attempt to hurry off when danger seems to come their way. While these creatures are not much of use when it comes to offense and defense, they make cute companions and can give warnings when changes in the weather are about to occur. Jerboas are pretty much incapable of defending themselves and are mostly tamed to be cute cuddly companions without much to offer aside from their senses. Being that these creatures have no means to defend themselves, they are at the bottom of the food chain and become meals to both creatures and survivors alike. The Jerboa is a creature with an unknown origin and is considered to be a mixture of multiple creatures with a splash of cuteness in the whole mix. A unique ability of the Jerboa is that it can detect changes in weather and will be able to alert its owner so preparations may be done in advance. The Jerboa will make a sound whenever the weather is about to change in order to alert its owners before the climate shifts.

It's an easy meal for predators and survivors alike, the latter of whom also value its hide. The locals refer to Renopila as a Jerboa, but while it does look similar in some ways, it is clearly unrelated. The fact that it does not hop is a dead giveaway. In fact, while Renopila generally fits into the clade Glires, it seems to share traits with both rodents and lagomorphs.
