This is my first repair log on an arcade board, i hope that my text will not be too long and useful to anyone having problems with their own PCB of the same game. After pluging the board on my jamma system, i noticed that the board has at least 4 problems to fix. The first is that i get japanese characters on screen. After reading each eproms and socketed maskroms, i see that FU is from the wrong set. The solution was easy peasy : i bought a brand new on ebay, and burn the right content from the world set.

The connector circuitry of some later games, such as Street Fighter II: The World Warrior and X-Men , implement extra buttons, different controller types, or support more players by adding extra connectors—or even by utilizing dormant JAMMA pins. The standard specifies a communication protocol based on RS and physical interfaces for peripheral devices using commonly-available USB connectors and cables. Other manufacturers use similar edge connectors such as Tektronix for the TM50X, TMX, [19] [20] [21] and [22] [23] system mainframe equipment. Connectors with similar designs have been used for different systems circuitry interfaces with 22 pins such as the Tektronix SC extender, 26 pins A Extender, 48 pins A Extender, 72 pins J Extender Board and others. These different systems can be custom built based on user requirements where even basic guides have been created to assist users in the making of such adapters.

It might look confusing with all the wires but once you split them into logical bundles it's as simple and pushing on the connectors. Making sure you line the 12v GND to the connect pins so the board powers correctly. Don't worry we will go over this in more detail later on.
