The ITF Junior Circuit is the premier level for worldwide competition among under junior tennis players. Since its creation it has been the beginning of many successful careers. Beginning in , the rankings were combined and a single champion in both boys' and girls' competition was recognized. The highest level tournaments are the junior grand slams and the Youth Olympics, followed by the ITF Junior Masters , an event that resembles the year-end finals. The primary aim of the tournament is to provide an international Junior Tour experience to players from less tennis-developed nations, with all expenses covered by ITF and Tennis Europe. Accompanied by their national coaches, these talented athletes will engage in two back-to-back Category 2 tournaments. Additionally, they'll have the opportunity to attend a Junior School class scheduled for the end of the first week. Past champions include the likes of Simona Halep, Victoria Azarenka, and Grigor Dimitrov, each of whom made the most of their invitations to the tournament to record some of their earliest international successes. Some of the players have arrived directly from the Stockholm Super Category tournament held last week, bringing with them the experience and competitive edge gained from participating in a high-profile event. However, they will face a challenge in adapting to a new surface, and from indoor to outdoor courts.
