Pastor McPeters believed that if God was calling him into ministry God would also prepare him for that ministry. While at Cedarville College Pastor McPeters excelled academically and he was frequently placed on the Dean list and the Deans honors list. Johnson Sr. Pastor McPeters gave oversight to over 14 ministries, organized major conferences and events, as well as maintaining his normal pastoral responsibilities of teaching, preaching and counseling while serving at this 10, member congregation. Pastor McPeters served in this capacity for ten years. Pastor McPeters is excited about the new assignment God has given, and he is looking forward to seeing God do great and wonderful things through the Israel Baptist Church. Pastor McPeters is happily married to the former Ms. Angela Posey of Indianapolis, Indiana, and they presently have no children.

The primary efforts of IBC Public Relations are designed to maintain close relationships with members of the news media and the public they serve; to enhance internal communications and to maintain the visual and editorial identity of IBC through the production of quality publications and promotional materials. To train the Body of Christ both hearing and Deaf to effectively communicate the Gospel to the Deaf and to disciple them to become strong believers who in turn share the Gospel with others! To provide friendship, encouragement and fellowship to Deaf and Hard of Hearing members and visitors, as well as provide sign language interpretation during services. To build lasting relationships and to help encourage and reach out to the deaf community, not only where we worship, but also everywhere we go.
