Krystella chose Scryer faction, mostly because I liked the Scryer gem cuts slightly better than the Aldor ones.

I originally chose the Aldor in BC to gain rep with and in that expansion got them to exalted and was therefore hated by the Scryers. I purchased the required items on the AH basilisk eyes and turned in the quest in Shatt times. Each time I turned in the quest I saw in the General tab a message that said Aldor went down and Scryers went up. When I was done my Aldor rep was neutral and my Scryers was still 35, of 36, hated. Am I doing something wrong? According to Wowhead this is all I need to do.

Coraline says it's not actually that bad-- she went from Hostile to Unfriendly within about an hour of farming which means she still has to fight to Neutral to start doing the normal quests. People working back towards Aldor are able to get silk from the spiders that sells well on the AH , but unfortunately for repentant Scryers, the basilisks don't drop anything really good. They do drop Chunk O'Basilisk if you're a cook, and they can be skinned if you're a leatherworker, so there's that. Anyone else made the tredge back between the Aldor and Scryer factions? Coraline doesn't say she did this, but I would: if you're leaving your faction, make sure to grab all the goodies you can. I would be completely impressed to see someone dual-wielding both the Vindicator's Brand and the Retainer's Blade at the same time you don't actually need the rep to wield them, do you? How are y'all not going to talk about the Scryer's Bloodgem for caster dps? Thats the reason casters went Scryer and not Aldor So prot paladin goes Aldor, I think? Kinda thought they would label which class goes to which clearly. Every class of tank except for Feral Bear Druid should consider Scryer. Greater Inscription of the Knight, with its higher Defense to Dodge ratio, is much more useful to both Protection Paladins and Warriors. Block is a far more useful trait for avoidance than Dodge for these classes, so they won't get the most use out of it. For Paladins, that is debateable, for warriors, this is just plain wrong. Scryers have the library inside their main building on their rise, that allows you to learn and train -any- profession in the same place.
