A Citalia favourite for over 40 years, the Hotel Du Lac is situated in a small piazza of Bellagio opposite the lake's landing stage from where the boats and hydrofoils operate. In addition to its delightful history, Hotel Du Lac owes much of its charm to the owners, whose wonderful hospitality, personal service and excellent home cooking extend all the way back to Soon after the Leoni family became the proprietors, the hotel had already become such a popular venue for afternoon tea at the weekends that fleets of boats had to sit patiently before finding a space at the landing stage! Its founder, Arturo Leoni, would signal from the terrace with a flag to notify one of the boats when a table under the portico was free.
