I have seen a few say to set it to the 20 volt DC setting to test it The lowest on mine is 40 volts. But I have seen others say to set it down to the battery testing setting. I should have just tried it myself, but I'm sure I ain't the first one with this question. Guess I was setting it right all along. Also need to consider if your multimeter has been calibrated or not.
After you have done that,check the voltage at CT Closed Throttle. Tighten the screws finger tight but loose enough where you can swivel it.

To remove the old TPS, first disconnect the throttle position sensor wiring harness. Remove the two 12mm bolts and nuts to access the TPS. There are either two Torx screws or two machine screws holding the TPS in place, depending on which model you have. If you have an older model, you can cut slots in the screw heads with a Dremel or hacksaw, then use a flathead screwdriver to remove them.

I will say this should be a sticky. Remove the kick panel at the passengers feet to expose the ECU and wiring,1 clip and a bolt How cool is the big march fly in the shot! I had to replace the tps sensor at the time of the swap because it was broken, so i adjusted it to 0. I edited the previous message to fix the decimal. This is being done on a d16y4. A nice firm cable. An erratic idle is a sign of engine trouble; fix it ASAP! Carby cleaner is crap. That word owns me!! Tighten the screws finger tight but loose enough where you can swivel it. For a manual car,set the idle when the car is in neutral and for a automatic car,set the idle with the car in 'D'. I need some help. CT should now be 0. Some meters have symbol which will beep when there is continuity. I should have just tried it myself, but I'm sure I ain't the first one with this question.
