The images in this set are a little more modern than the Authentic Blue collection that I so enjoyed working with last year. However you can still make really pretty cards to send to friends and family. If you would like to see the complete collection plus more of my design team samples then take a look at my YouTube video. Within this video there are some additional video links which will show you how to make two of the cards in this pretty collection. It is not everyday that you see your work in print, but it has happened to me this week, because Lisa Horton has released her first magazine boxset. I was handed the commission at the end of and it was a very exciting secret to have to keep. I did it though and now you all have the pleasure of being able to see the magazine in all its glory.

Holly Hobbie wore an enormous blue bonnet and long patchwork dress. She enjoyed mild, pleasant activities like sewing, cuddling animals, and collecting wildflowers with her friends. The gentle, modest nature of Holly Hobbie reminded us of slower and sweeter bygone times. Though we first saw her on American Greetings cards, she soon appeared in toys, dolls, clothes and accessories, stationery products, and even furniture lines. Holly Hobbie wrote several books about about, uh, Holly Hobbie. Richard S.

Daily life was a blur of diapers before disposables and making baby food in a blender for all of them. Breastfeeding and wearing nursing bras seemed to be the only attire in my closet. There was little time for fun sewing except to make more plastic lined diaper covers and baby dresses and hope that the teething stage would pass quickly in time for their progression into nursery school. So, imagine my surprise this week when I received a whole collection of unfinished baby quilts donated to our local American Sewing Guild. Since I had no idea of the best way to attach already quilted fabric to thin flannel, I decided to just use my bartack stitch on my machine and space them out as evenly as I could to join the 2 together. Then, I made the binding using fabric I had in my stash and not use the nylon binding in the package.

Your Spring sounds idyllic and I can't help but feel just a teeny bit jealous haha Have a fabulous week. Hi Kim what a beautiful post filled with colour and happiness. Sometimes difficult given the times we live in, but for me I want to be mindful to delight in those fleeting moments which bless my day. Gives you good warm feels. There is a sea of glorious blue hues of forget-me-nots everywhere and the bluebells are swaying in colours of blue, pink and white. It is old, and, I am scared of fires. As with my Sweet Sunday quilt, I like the thought of small hexies skipping around the border The wedding pictures would be very interesting.

Thanks again for bringing a smile to my face this Sunday morning! Sweet remembrances with Sarah Kay Your quilt is so lovely and I love your idea for the background fabric, yes I grew up liking Holly Hobbie, even after we were married my mom made us a quilt with some of the characters on it. I remember a favourite Holly Hobbie quote of both my friend and I was " The road to a friend's house is never long " or even " When a good friend shares a day with you rainy days seem brighter, too". Thanks, I made it!! Helaine Meyerson July 14, I'm reminded of the birthday cards I received as a child that were of girls with parasols and petticoat-ed dresses and cut to the shape. Gives you good warm feels. So nice of you all to finish this work for charity. What I want to know is what on earth would the groom wear??? The good old days, a time which I have been reminiscing and reflecting upon of late. A vase and pot holders are a few Holly Hobbie items that we have. To even the edges along the top, bottom and sides, I will stitch triangles to them, and then I will add a border of white and pink polka dot fabric. So if the bride is in this lace cat suit and the groom in a long wide weighted tie, I am wondering what some to the guests would wear. I would like to find out what it is worth.
