Sandra and I popped down to the Wessex Bonsai Society winter image show held at the Kinson Community Centre on Sunday 12th Feb, this is a regular trip for us as the people are always friendly and the trees are always of interest plus two of our members are also members of their society. There are many different varieties of bonsai — there are deciduous trees and coniferous trees, flowering trees and fruit trees. Furthermore, bonsai can be subdivided into 2 groups, namely indoor bonsai and outdoor bonsai. Outdoor bonsai should be placed outside and exposed to the four seasons. Lodder Bonsai is a family business 4th generation that started in with a small greenhouse in the center of Utrecht, The Netherlands. The business started with the cultivation of all kinds of potted plants and its trade. In the early sixties the story of bonsai began with the first import of Pinus bonsai to Europe. We were the first company in Europe to be commercially involved with bonsai. Steadily the popularity of bonsai increased and in the seventies we decided to specialize solely in bonsai.

Just bought my second pair from the sale section but the shoe came with yellow stained shoelaces and some markings or oxidized fabric. Not sure if this is specific to my foot or not. This pair after 4 days i can tell something just isn't quiet right. This pair should be the same as my usual response of awesome, however this pair just feels different. As I have mentioned, these Hokas have a tread on the bottom that is harder than the cushioning that sits between the tread and the soul of the shoe. Nice shoe. We were warmly greeted by Gerrit Lodder who took time out to show us various fabulous bonsai trees and catch up since our visit last year.

The cushion level was great, but unfortunately, after about a half mile, the bottom part of my right heel began to feel like something was sticking it. After 15 years of being the Chairman for Warminster Bonsai Club, Adrian has stepped down from this role. I love that the cushion takes the impact on my joints. The midsole is way too tall and the cushion is way too mushy. So you may ask, Why did I buy a second pair? I wore them several days, hoping a break in eas needed, but they didn't work for me. I am still wondering why Hoka is not managing this better and if the other shoes from Hoka have quality issues like the Bondi.
