I see online that their is a Hidea 40HP outboard Brand new up for auction from one of the auction companies. I am well aware that this is the Brand of Chinese outboards that are now re-branded Maxus for whom which are made at the Parsun Factory. I've done plenty of reading up on the Parsun outboards and other than brand bashing I haven't found an negative aspect. Yes boat will easily take the larger motor. I've seen them with 70's on the back lol. Well just bought myself a new outboard lol. Sounds like a bl00dy great deal to me mate.

Ordered yesterday at EUR, the Aircat arrived today and this first post wil be unboxing and initial impression for what it's worth coming from an absolute newbie. Time or too many edits? I don't know, but I had problems uploading some of the images. Anyway, the packaged arrived fairly unharmed at a pick-up point near me, but a little more man-handling, and the fibre bands could have harmed the items inside.
An engine almost designed for abuse.

Has anyone any experience of Hidea outboards?. I'm looking for a 15Hp auxilliary and stumbled across them while i was trawling the net. Distributed through Velocity Marine. Quite a good price if they are any good, I've never heard of them. Seems odd for a company to trade with a Gmail address though? Sent from my Computer, using a keyboard and mouse.

Clear editor. Less the cost of 2 services on mine. He seems pretty pro-active and since you are in Sydney I am sure he'd love to see it. A few years ago I had a Tanaka for my 17' Daysailer. Might as well pay another hundred and get a warranty! Everything was neatly packaged in separate bags and foam blankets. Initial impression is OK - you get at least what you pay for EUR shipped including external fuel tank. Tohatsu 70 - ok at full whack at sea. Bound2Please Posted August 13, Fair point Ricardo. Skeg Repair. The positive: No submarining and the bow didn't lift skyhigh. You have got to be happy with that price. Mistakes happen. New posts. A very high percentage of staff in engineering roles have degrees and are well trained. It doesn't speak to the relaibility of that particular motor, rather more to the inexperience of the operator. Excellent buy, have to treat it as disposable for that price. I needed a 4 hp kicker motor, with reliability, affordability, and warranty Alan P first time. It has taken us two years to use up a 5ltr jerrycan, so very frugal.
