The Place Located at Serangoon Garden, Hanwoori Korean Restaurant is opened by a cheery Korean lady whom will greet you with her high spirits while taking your orders. The space is rather basic, no-frills setting but this should not deter you from visiting Hanwoori. The Food Been visiting Hanwoori for a while now, though have not gotten down to write a review of it. Perhaps I have underestimated how this neighbourhood Korean restaurant is truly a gem, with it becoming more popular in recent years with younger crowds now forming queues during peak dining hours. Every main course comes with 10 complimentary banchan side dishes that are refillable with no additional charge. The salty beef broth with the well-soaked glass noodles and lean beef slices goes really well with a bowl of Korean rice. Personally I find the pancake slightly too soggy, and a tad too bland, perhaps we can throw in more kimchi to the mix to spruce up the flavours. This Steamed Korean Egg makes a good side dish to complement the more savoury items on the menu. Fluffy, yet well-seasoned, order this to share with your fellow dining partners. Rants Parking is always an issue here at Serangoon Garden, so come early to avoid the peak dining hours. Reservation is also highly recommended. Will I Return Again?

The four Bs of Korean dining.. Unfortunately only one of these is bottomless — ie. Tons of delectable Side dishes, well fermented Kimchi, crispy scallion Pancakes, light, airy, fluffy Egg think Korean chawan mushi surprisingly good DIY barbecue meat are the order of the day here, but just as important is what the food is washed down with.. Soju, and plenty of it! Also the texture is soft and supple, not rubbery like how some restaurants do it, and get it all wrong! Oh, the super addictive Ox tongue… Wrapping it with a massive, succulent salad leave, a bit of Kimchi and the bean paste..

Best if reserved first before visiting cause it kinda crowded during meal time. Kimchi jigae yummy!! Nothing much special about spicy rice ball just a new experience. MBO has a pretty good cinema as well.
