When I arrived at the Airport I met a person who was waiting for me, ready to take me to the hotel, After sometime I met my guide Leon for short briefing, checking my gear before leaving the hotel making sure I was well prepared and making adjustment as needed. There after I was ready for my trip tomorrow. I had amazing 6 days in the mountain. My guide Leon was super experienced, paid much attention and was able to assist me in every moment. He performed twice a day health checkup and his experience in dealing with high altitude environment was vital for me to accomplish the summit. The rest of the team was well organized and nice to me. I had an amazing meal cooked by Eugen saved by Emmanuel. Allen the camp master had tents immediately prepared when I arrived at the camp sites.

Habari Adventure is based in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. The owner, Stan Wilfred has lived in Tanzania all of his life. When he was 18 years old he worked as a porter and after two years he became a mountain guide on Mountain Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru. Growing up in Moshi ignited his passion for hiking the surrounding mountains and exploring his heritage. Stan wants to create more jobs for porters and guides with better salaries and working conditions. On any trip, the quality of your journey is greatly impacted by your tour guide. Mount Kilimanjaro is referred to as the highest mountain in Africa at 19,ft above sea level. It takes 5 to 9 days to complete the Kilimanjaro climb for the standard itinerary. The Lemosho route takes 7 days to 8 days and the Machame route takes 6 to 7 days to complete a hike for a comfortable hike. The best time to climb Kilimanjaro in the months of January through early March and June through October. The clear skies, great views, and sunshine make it the best comfortable hiking conditions. However, there is always the possibility of weather changing dramatically, regardless of the Kilimanjaro season.
