It's stupid to ask players to not open their Strike loot because they need the coffers as Kill Proof for the encounter, or to not use Raid tokens for GH decoration because they need them as Kill Proof for each boss separately. Especially with more endgame CM contents coming up Strike CM titles should suffice for pugs. As for raids, I don't think you need to hoard more than endboss decorations for each wing. Build-in system allowing you to inspect anything to check somebody's boss kill count would have been great but It's too "toxic" for GW2.

July 16, The reason why killproof is as crooked as it is now is that players 'abused' in-game drops, currencies or titles to function as proof of raid kills. It was never intended by AreanNet for that purpos. Personally i would be happy if they would just add a counter for all the KP, i am not carrying around all that junk. If they added a counter then everytime you get kp it adds to it like in the wallet , so when someone asks you can click on the kp in the wallet and show them.

Kill proof often abbreviated as KP is an unofficial term used among players for items and achievements that prove they have defeated a Raid , Strike Mission or Fractals of the Mists boss and are experienced with it. Groups that ask for Kill proof will usually expect players to ping their items in chat upon joining their party or squad. This is done by pinging the items three or more times in quick succession, however many players choose use external kill proof logging sites to make this process easier. Although usually a good indicator, it is worth noting that kill proof is not a definite proof of experience. They only show that a player has been a part of a group that has defeated a certain boss.

A kill proof or KP is something that proves you have killed a boss - it's usually an item, title or achievement. Items can be linked in chat and titles can be shown on your character. For fractal challenge modes, this used to be an Unstable Cosmic Essence UCE but unfortunately these are no longer obtainable. They have been replaced with Unstable Fractal Essences UFE which are automatically added to your wallet and cannot be linked in chat. For raid bosses, it's a decoration token or coffer from the boss or raid wing such as a Slothasor mushroom. This shows that you have killed Slothasor wing 2 boss 1 once. You get of these from the chest for each boss so 5 only proves that you have at least 1 kill even if you actually killed it 5 times and got just 1 token each time. For this reason some people tend to hold onto the coffers instead as this is guaranteed to be proof of a kill. It does mean you don't get the rest of the items out of it though.
